The freshman student that was allegedly assaulted on Saturday, Aug. 21, is no longer enrolled at Webster University.

Webster, through its media relations department, has declined to comment on anything regarding the student.

Department redefined walk-on athletes under Athletic Director Tom Hart. Despite an open policy regarding walk-ons, the coaches recruit approximately 90 percent of Webster athletes. "Typically you'd define a walk-on as somebody who joins the team with no athletic scholarships," Hart said.

Lack of sufficient space for athletics has been a problem at Webster University as programs have grown. Webster is looking to expand the University Center (UC) and improve athletic facilities in the future. "I would say that when the University Center opened in 1992, it probably was already insufficient for the numbers they had enrolled in athletics," Athletics Director Tom Hart said.
