The art department course prerequisites and general education codes are not printed in the summer course book. This list below is for both undergraduate and graduate prerequisites and general education codes.

Undergraduate courses

* ARHS 2350:
Introductory Topics in Art History
Contemporary Abstration
History of St. Louis Architecture
[HST, ART]
This course may be repeated for credit if content differs.

* ART 1050:
Art Appreciation, [HUM,ART]

* ART 2530:
Ceramics I. Prerequisite: ART 1120 or ART 1220.

* ART 3850:
Topics in Studio Art, Video Workshop, Comprehensive Painting, Comprehensive Drawing. Prerequisite: non-majors with permission of the instructor

* ART 4800:
Apprenticeships in Art. Prerequisites: Advanced standing art majors and permission of instructor.

Graduate courses

* ART 5110:
Drawing Studio. Prerequisite: admission to the graduate program in art.

* ART 5410:
Painting Studio. Prerequisite: admission to the graduate program in art.

* ART 5530:
Ceramic Studio. Prerequisite: admission to the graduate program in art.

* ART 5950:
Advanced Study in Art.
Video Workshop
Comprehensive Painting, Comprehensive Drawing. Prerequisites: admission to the graduate program in art and ART 5000.
