Statement of Goals:

If elected to be a Webster University Senator, I would represent your concerns and suggestions for the improvement of life here at WU. As an on-campus resident, I have a wide knowledge of the problems that exist, and I would love to be a part of the decision-making process for this campus. Stoplights, wider walkways, wireless internet, financial aid, majors and minors, and many other areas of concern have been expressed, and I would like the change to be a part of the team that solves these problems.

Besides working with expressed concerns, I would also like to help improve the social climate here at WU. Clubs like SAC and RHA have done a wonderful job of initiating social events throughout this year. I would like to help add to the successes of these groups and implement even more activities, such as formals, concerts, etc. I am easily accessible, and ready to listen to any suggestions you might have. Please consider me to represent you as the next WU Business and Technology Senator!

Statement of Goals:

One of the main aspects that I would like to bring to the Student Government Association is closer ties with some of the larger organizations on campus such as Residential Housing Association. Many of the organizations on campus run solely within themselves not out of arrogance but out of lack of contact. I believe that improved communication between organizations can only strengthen each of the institutions. As I will be taking the position of RHA treasurer, I believe that I could help fortify the bonds between the groups and make for a generally improved quality within the association.

Arts and Sciences Senator

Statement of Goals:

Over the past year, the student body has seen many changes around campus which have stemmed from SGA backing of student concerns. I also recognize that there tends to be a disconnection between the perceived capabilities and the reality of SGA. By using the capabilities of the Association, I would like to continue to work toward establishing more effective communication on campus-whether through a central kiosk or other ideas as they emerge. Nothing can be accomplished unless we, the students, work together and make our needs known to the administration-which often isn't aware of student concerns-and I will continue to help better the image of SGA on campus by creating a bridge of communication between the two groups.

Communications Senator

Statement of Goals:

SGA was very active and successful this year with all of the goals we set for ourselves. Next year, I'd like to help keep that alive by accomplishing the goals that were not met this year, along with new goals to improve Webster. I feel like SGA did a good job later on in the school year communicating with the other clubs and organizations on campus, but there is still room for improvement. With the help of our hopeful kiosk in the quad, I'd like to finish bridging the gaps that remain between SGA and the rests of the organizations.

Chris Maue
Freshman
Communications Senator

Statement of Goals:

I would like to foster more communication between on campus organizations, especially those associated with the School of Communications, as well as helping to make campus groups and activities more accessible to the general student body.
