Communications Senator

Statement of Goals:

A main goal I would like to see initiated at Webster is to somehow increase student involvement for both GTV and KGLX. These are two great media outlets that have great potential, but so far haven't been paid enough attention by the entire campus. I would also like to see more beautification projects take place around campus, especially to clean up all the cigarette butts outside the dorms. I think that the best way for me to represent the Webster students is to put myself out there personally meeting everyone and asking them what they would like to see done.

Graduate Senator

Statement of Goals:

I would like to continue to be the voice of the Graduate students on campus who are not heard since a large majority of them are commuters. In the 2005-2006 school year I would like to plan a Graduate mixer that introduces Graduate students to the campus community and to each other.

Susan Riegel
Junior
Arts & Sciences Senator

Statement of Goals:

As an SGA Senator, my goal would be to encourage student involvement and participation in SGA sponsored and co-sponsored events and other campus activities. I think there is always a need for ideas to entertain students. We strongly need an on-campus location where students can hang out over the weekend and we should work for more opportunities to meet other students-may it be students with the same major, same minor, or simply people with the same or even different interests and ideas. Although, these ideas may not be accomplished right away, we will hopefully be able to take step towards their attainment in the near future.

Janele Moore
Freshman
Fine Arts Senator

Statement of Goals:

I have been working closely with the recycling program on campus, and I would like to continue this work through the University Recycling Committee which was revamped through SGA. Also, I intend to pursue improving parking availability in the lot next to the St Louis Rep, a goal which has been instigated this semester, but requires more time in order to achieve the desired results. In keeping with the purpose of SGA, I would also be open to helping with any next projects concerning students that arise during the school year.

Katelyn Minnick
Freshman
Fine Arts Senator

Statement of Goals:

With Student Government this year I have worked on the issue of limited parking in lots J and K next to the Loretto Hilton Center. This issue will not be solved in a single semester and I would like to continue to work to solve this problem. As well, the issue of being able to obtain a double minor was taken this year by the current SGA president who is graduating. As with parking, this question will not be resolved immediately and if I am senator next year I will gladly take this on. These are only a few things I have envisioned for next year and I am willing to work with whatever concerns Webster students bring.
