During the teams spring break trip to the Rebel Spring Games March 10 through 18 in Orlando, Fla., Brandenburger's hot bat helped the Gorloks to an even 5-5 record. In a March 11 game against Thiel University, Brandenburger went 3-5 from the plate including a fifth-inning, three RBI homerun that spurred the Gorloks to a 21-3 victory. On March 12, the junior from Red Bud, Ill., went 4-4 with four singles in a Gorlok victory. Brandenburger finished the tourney with 11 hits in 25 plate appearances, adding 10 RBI in the Gorloks 10 games in Orlando.
