Trivia night
The Webster Forensics and Debate Program sponsors its second annual trivia night 6:30 p.m. March 24 in the University Center Sunnen Lounge. There will be 10 rounds of 10 questions as well as silent auction baskets, raffles and complimentary snacks. Up to eight people can be at a table. It costs $6 for Webster students and $12 for non-Webster students. Call Scott Jensen at ext. 7439 for more information.
SGA elections
SGA's spring election is rapidly approaching, and students may now apply for candidacy. Applications are due by 5 p.m. April 6 and may be submitted to John Ginsburg, director of the University Center. No campaigning materials are to be posted until after 5 p.m. April 6. Webster has hired alumna Kate Thomas as election commissioner.
Elections for the fall 2007 SGA executive board will be held April 16 through 19. Positions include president, vice president, comptroller, secretary, sergeant-at-arms, two senators from each school and two graduate senators. Applications must be turned in to the UC front desk or e-mailed to John Ginsburg at ginsburgjo@webster.edu by 5 p.m. April 6. E-mail is the preferred method of submission.
Symphony honors local jazz singer
The Webster University Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert honoring Jeanne Trevor, a St. Louis jazz singer, at 7 p.m. March 18 at the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall in the old Community Music School. Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for seniors and free for Webster students with a valid ID. Call ext. 7040 for more information.
Journal seeks spring break photos
Students can submit photos of their spring break exploits to The Journal. Photos should be at least 300 dpi and sent to mgersh@webujournal.com by March 19.
