Webster University parking lots have always been a loaded topic on campus because of lack of parking. However, a new problem has presented itself concerning the asphalt hell-holes students encounter every day.
The extensive potholes in the parking lots are starting to look like small lakes. The holes have been accumulating all winter, which is common to all such lots. However, these potholes have been a problem for several weeks.
It is understandable that winter is tough on pavement and repairs cannot be made until the weather accommodates, but the last few weeks have seen warm days without rain. However, the parking lots have seen zero attention from Webster facilities.
If the weather is not accommodating for repairs with asphalt, filling potholes with gravel also is an option that may save a few tires.
The largest pothole, at the Big Bend Boulevard entrance to Lot H, is 5 inches deep and has a diameter of about 60 to 65 inches.
This could hardly be called a pothole, but it is more like a small lake. This is ridiculous and a hazard to Webster drivers' tires and shocks. This situation is an unnecessary annoyance and an easy fix.
