Volunteers needed for dinner for the poor
A dinner for the poor is being organized by Anna Barbara Sakurai, a math and computer science professor, from 5 to 6 p.m. April 16 at the Peter and Paul Community Church at the southwest corner of 8th and Allen Streets. Sakurai, Webster faculty and students organize each month to serve chicken sandwiches, green salad, a hot bean dish, ice cream and cookies to the poor. Anyone interested in volunteering for the dinner is welcome to do so. Donations to the fund used to buy food for the monthly dinner also are welcome.


Panel to discuss child abduction prevention

A panel consisting of speakers from the Shawn Hornbeck Foundation and the Webster Groves Police Department and others will discuss child abduction. The panel, titled "Child Abduction Prevention Community Response," will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. April 12 in the University Center Presentation Room.


Publications board meeting

The Publications Board's monthly meeting will be held at noon April 13 in room 118 of the Sverdrup building. The meeting is open to to anyone who wishes to discuss matters related to The Journal.


Trivia night canceled

The trivia night, hosted by Rene Knott, that was originally scheduled for April 14th has been canceled. If you already registered, someone from the 2007 Legacy Fund Committee will be in contact with you. Donations to support the class of 2007 can still be made by logging onto http://www.webster.edu/legacy and clicking on the "Make a Gift Online" icon.
