New ruling threatens all abortion rights

Another bill presented by Representatives Edgar Emery-R and Doug Ervin-R will make pharmacists immune from liability if they refuse to hand out, refer or assist a patient in getting the emergency contraceptive drug.

This pill is hard enough to find as it is, but allowing pharmacists to refuse service based on their personal values is as ridiculous as a pharmacist refusing to sell anti-depressants to a customer because they don't like therapists.

The disregard of the rights of women won't just be a problem in Missouri. It will become a problem in Alabama, California, Vermont, and so forth. The ban has opened the doors for politicians in every state to interfere in the private health choices of women.

Sadly, Republicans are hell bent on compromising women's rights in the recent bills.

Women need to pay attention because these rulings will affect all women. Whether in agreement with abortion or not, if it becomes this easy for the government to strip women of their rights, what is to stop them from taking something else? Will the government begin to question women's option to have an abortion, thus overturning Roe v. Wade? Sadly, this seems to be the direction our government is heading.

Women need to stay active in questioning any decisions made by the government; for it is obvious the fight for control of our minds and bodies is not over. The fight begins now.

If you have an opinion on the subject then state it. If you dont agree then fine, but that doesnt give you the right to be a dick.

I did state my opinion (even though you didn't understand it), and apparently I do have the right. It's called (Socratic)irony. Way to miss the point anyway, genius. (Continued…)
