SGA outlines year-long plans

The second group to receive SGA funding was the Media Convergence Club, a group seeking to integrate the School of Communications and different forms of media.

Hoef announced new work positions:

• Dusty Lopez, Athletics head coach

• Merry Graf, Athletics interim softball head coach

• Tamara Gegg-LaPlume, Career Services interim director

• Nicki Femmer, Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs assistant programs director

• Sarah Tetley Assistant director of housing and residential life

• Jennifer Casady, Residential Life house director
Help wanted

A student board of directors is being instituted to replace the external Food Service Committee, previously headed by SGA members.

The committee will have six members from various majors and class years who meet monthly to formally discuss the food service.

John Ginsburg, UC and Student Activities director and SGA advisor, said there are no requirements for applying for the position and members will be compensated in the form of meals.

Applications will be available soon at Residential Life and at the UC front desk.

There are currently seven available positions for SGA including one education senator, one business/technology senator, one graduate senator and four senators at-large. Applications are due by 5p.m. Aug. 31 at the UC front desk or they can be submitted online. Fall elections will be held the week of Sept. 10. For more information, visit the SGA website:
