MEN After starting the season 0-2, the men's soccer team got the positive momentum they needed by posting a pair of shutouts in their first homestand. The wins could have served to vault the Gorloks back in the right direction, but a tough Sept. 8 loss to Rhodes College put the team's record back at 2-3.

The Sept. 11 volleyball game promised to be an exciting rematch between the two strongest teams in last year's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference - the Webster Gorloks and the Principia College Panthers. The best-of-five match turned out to be exactly what the fans expected.
